After a leisurely al fresco breakfast, start exploring the country as you travel to the extraordinary destination of the Masai Mara. Scenically, it epitomises the Africa of childhood imaginings: the lone Acacia tree against the cobalt sky, rolling plains that positively heave with life, the sluggish curves of the Mara River choc-a-bloc with hippo and crocs and the odd red “shuka” of a Masai herdsman who carry on their normal pace of life, largely oblivious of all the commotion around them. Spend the next two days on safari with all meals and overnight at your lodge.

This morning depart for Lake Naivasha arriving for lunch at your lodge. Take a boat ride at the crater lake and visit Crescent Island. There are plenty of hippos to be seen in their natural habitat and wild animals such as zebra, giraffe, antelope, wilder beast, water bucks and a variety of birds on the shore with the best view from the lake.

Your journey now takes you to Amboseli National Park located at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. Stop en route at the Carnivore restaurant for lunch. Arrive at Amboseli in the late afternoon where you will embark on a game viewing drive. On the second day you will have morning and afternoon game viewing drives at the park. During the heat of the day, relax at the lodge.

Following an early breakfast, catch your last views of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro as you depart Amboseli. From here turn north across the beautiful and seemingly never ending Athi Plains, arriving in Kenya’s bustling capital city of Nairobi by mid-day. You will be transferred to the airport for your International flight (B)
