This morning depart to the famous Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area (NCCA), which features rolling plains, lakes, craters, mountains and dormant volcanoes. Arrive for lunch at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge which enjoys one of the finest views of the crater. Afternoon spend at leisure. The following morning descend down the crater for an enchanting game viewing drive. Known as ‘the eighth wonder of the world' the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa's best-known wildlife arenas. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers a unique biosphere, which has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Deep within the Crater, enclosed by towering walls, some 25,000 large mammals wander the plains, lakes and forests of ‘the land that time forgot', dominated by enormous bull elephants, rhinos and lions. This morning depart Ngorongoro and cross over to the neighbouring Serengeti National Park stopping en route at Ol Duvai Gorge. Known as the ‘Cradle of Mankind’, this is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world. Arrive in Serengeti this late afternoon with a game viewing drive as you are transferred to your lodge. On the second day, you will have morning and afternoon game viewing drives. Optional activities while at the Serengeti include visits to local Masai village to learn the local culture of this colourful tribe. An adventure worth taking is the balloon safari. Launching at dawn, rising as the sun rises, you gently float over the plains of the magnificent Serengeti. Overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge (L, D, B Daily)

Continue up north to Grumeti Wildlife Reserve where you will follow the migration. The migration can be seen on a long chain approximately 40 Km heading to the north eastern. Approximately 1.3 million wildebeest, 250,000 gazelles and 200,000 Zebras have been recorded sharing the short grass. Journey from the wide open plains to the kopjes: these volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals and from the top look out across the vast grasslands of the Serengeti. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide you with the ultimate chance of seeing all of the plain games; elephants, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, lions and it you are lucky the elusive leopard and cheetah, as well as huge amounts of interesting bird life, from the elegant secretary birds to the flightless ostrich. Enjoy a game viewing drive as you are transferred to the airstrip for your 1050hrs Coastal flight to Zanzibar arriving at 1400hrs. On arrival, you will be transferred to Bluebay Beach Resort for dinner overnight. Spend the next three days at leisure by the beach.
