Day 1: Arrival at Zanzibar Airport where we welcome you with a cold drink and a fresh face towel. Short briefing and transfer to your Stone Town hotel. Later in the afternoon your guide will meet you for a historical walking tour through Stone Town. Overnight based on Bed & Breakfast.

Day 2: Half day boat tour to Prison Island, or also known as Changuu Island, famous for its history of slavery and its prison, home of impressive giant land tortoises nowadays. Back in Stone Town you have some free time for lunch and shopping, after which you are transferred to the beach hotel. Dinner and overnight are included.

Full day of leisure in the beach resort. Take a swim in the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, a snorkeling trip from the hotel or just be lazy and do absolutely nothing on your sunbed. Dinner and overnight.

Today it is time to discover the present and future of Zanzibar, viewing some innovative projects: a butterfly farm supported by the WWF in order to save the island’s indigenous butterflies; the last virgin forest of Zanzibar, Jozani Forest, with the unique Red Colobus monkeys and mysterious mangroves; and finally the Moto women’s project showing you traditional weaving with fig tree leaves. A Swahili lunch will be prepared by the women, before you return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Depending on the departure of your flight, you will be transferred to the airport for your journey home or onwards.
